Sarah Gilmore, PGDE Prim, MA Ed (Leadership & Management), is an experienced Primary educator who has taught for 10 years in Europe and Asia after qualifying as a teacher in the UK. Having spent the majority of her career working with the PYP, Sarah is passionate about inquiry-based, transdisciplinary learning. Since moving into her current role as an educational technology specialist at Berlin International School, Germany, she has dedicated these beliefs and experiences in primary education to the promotion and development of meaningful, effective and integrated education technology teaching and learning. In this capacity, Sarah has led the conceptualization, development, implementation and continuation of the technology curriculum, its incorporation into an evolved school technology vision, and has led a large-scale infrastructural change. Beyond school, Sarah continues to develop her website Intechgrate (www.intechgrate.eu) to communicate and promote integrated technology teaching and learning approaches, share resources and provide support to her own staff and the wider teaching community. She has presented and led workshops about technology in education at the European Conference on Mobile Devices in Amsterdam and the AGIS Conference (Association of German International Schools) in Hannover.
David French is an avid maker and creator in the classroom and at home. No project is too big to tackle and he is always on the lookout for something new to build. David has led robotics clubs and supported students participation in the ‘Hour of Code’. David adopts an interdisciplinary approach to his use of technology and maker projects by integrating with mathematics and Units of Inquiry.
David is an experienced international educator, having worked in schools in Africa, Europe and Oceania. He is the Associate Director of Professional Learning International (PLI), founded to support international schools to access leading professional development. David is currently employed as Grade 5 class teacher and previously worked as the Technology Integration Teacher for the Early Years at Frankfurt International School.
